Stress Management One Day Workshop

What is Stress?

noun
a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances.
"he's obviously under a lot of stress"

How to Handle Stress in a Healthy Way

Do you feel stressed and fatigued? Are you interested in learning simple, yet powerful techniques to help you gain energy and live a more balanced, joyful life?

If so, this one day workshop is for you.

We usually refer to the events “out there” as the things that cause the stress. But truthfully, those events only have the POTENTIAL for stress, because the reaction happens INSIDE us.

The good news here is that during this one day workshop you will learn how to take responsibility for your own reactions.  When you learn to change those reactions, you take back control.

The Benefits for You

This programme will teach you powerful techniques for mind and body that will enable you to dramatically reduce the feelings of stress and increase balance and peacefulness.

The techniques include proven relaxation methods, including:

  • understand the different types of stress and how they impact you both mentally and physically
  • How to stop your mind creating dramas
  • learning to use your mind creatively to think positive thoughts rather than stressful ones,
  • Incorporate what you learn into your life both personally and professionally

Stress and the Workplace

Did you know that 1 in 6.8 people experience mental health problems in the workplace.

That 12.7% of all sickness absence in the UK can be attributed to mental health conditions.

And that better mental health support in the workplace can save UK businesses up to £8bn a year.

When we look at stress specifically a UK wide study conducted by Forth in January 2018 found that:

  • 85% of adults in the UK are experiencing stress regularly
  • 54% of people who are stressed are concerned about how it is affecting their health
  • Over a third of British residents feel stressed one full day per week
  • The most common cause of stress is money, followed by work, health concerns, failure to get enough sleep, and household chores.

So if you feel stressed know that you are not alone.
